Guy Peron - Artiste peintre - peinture portrait voyage

Exposition | Français

Guy Péron found African aesthetics, a recurrent subject throughout his work, to be laden with flesh and life when he went, on several occasions, to Africa. There he discovered fascinating cultures with multiple facets.

He thus became interested in all the people who constitute our planet. He paints the people who inhabit our earth and the richness of their diversity.

His collection of portraits participates in a kind of census of ethnic vitality and calls one nearer to people from far away lands.

A reflection on what the present offers us and on what this heritage holds for the future, his observations raise the question of human mutation. His representation of humanity consists of painting cultural differences and then uniting them in his exhibits.

This work carries a humanist message that speaks to our conscience. It is dedicated to liberty and human dignity. It is a call to reconciliation in the name of respect for the individual. This painting speaks to all those who have faith in mankind, whatever their religion, nationality or origins.

Ethnic differences form the original stroke in the grand fresco of humanity.

This work that, through differences, raises awareness concerning tolerance, invites one to reflect on a culture of peace for a more certain future.
